The name says it all: Unity Through Community.
Our event, scheduled for Sept. 2, 2012 at the NC Dance Theatre in uptown Charlotte, will be the defining LGBT event of the Democratic National Convention.
More than 1,200 lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Americans and their straight allies are expected to attend to support equality, unity and celebrate the indomitable spirit of the LGBT community across the country, as well as right here in the Carolinas.
Attendees will include prominent members of the North Carolina LGBT community, LGBT delegates to the Democratic National Convention, business leaders, elected officials, celebrities, family, friends and supporters of LGBT citizens.
This party will be one of very few during the historic DNC in Charlotte to be completely open to the public (with a ticket, of course).
The event will send a strong, positive message: Loving acceptance is the norm and there is no place for hate in our state.
More details to come soon.
Tickets are limited — don't wait to buy, and they are going fast!
